Delhi Streets: what do users think?

Mr & Mrs Social: Delhi Streets, an authentic addition to Melbourne’s culinary scene, is a game-changer for Indian food lovers. This vibrant restaurant transports you to the bustling streets of India, serving up amazing vibes & flavors. From the moment you step inside, the aromas and sounds of India how I remember it envelop you, making you feel like you're in the middle of a lively market. I was lucky enough to witness the owner himself making all types of fresh Indian hot breads using traditional techniques. The décor is colorful and lively, with vintage Indian posters and rustic wooden accents. But it's the food that truly shines. Delhi Streets' menu is a love letter to Indian street food, with dishes that are both familiar and innovative. The chef's attention to detail and commitment to using only the freshest ingredients result in flavors that are bold, rich, and utterly authentic.Standout dishes include the tender and juicy Butter Chicken, the creamy and spicy Palak Paneer, and the crispy and flavorful Vegetable Samosas. Don't forget to try the fragrant Basmati rice and the soft, fluffy Naan bread, perfect for sopping up all the delicious sauces.Delhi Streets is more than just a meal - it's an experience. The friendly staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, happy to guide you through the menu and offer pairing suggestions. The prices are reasonable, making it an excellent option for a night out with friends or a family dinner. In short, Delhi Streets is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors and a vibrant dining experience. Get ready to be transported to the streets of Delhi and indulge in a culinary adventure you won’t forget!

Cynderella- the real life-tale!: The best Indian food in Australia. So fresh, so yum and so Indian.Loved it. The price is also so reasonable. First time enjoyed Indian food in Australia that is truly Indian in flavour and presentation.Highly recommended!Whenever I come to Melbourne I will definitely dine Here.

Simona Piano: food is delicious!!They are able to accomodate dietary requirements, the service can be slow because they are very busy and not much staff.Dietary restrictions: They were able to direct me to a few dishes without garlic and onion

Pankaj: . The group of 6 ordered a mix of street food, biryani, and a variety of set meals. My set meal had butter chicken and mattar paneer

Pesco Palate: Delicious food and reasonable pricing!Really glad I discovered this lovely Indian restaurant. Will be back!Dined in with 6 but the only downside is there may not be a lot of room for really big groups.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options! They had a handful of vegetarian curries on their board.

rekha balasundaram: Lovely yummy Thalis, spice level is perfect. Nice little place and service is nice.We had mixed nin veg thali, Chicken Biriyani,Vegan Thali and Samosa Chat, everybody loved it!!Vegetarian options: Good Vegan option!

Laura Gabriela: Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Boiled Dumplings …

Vivian Phan: Shandong Mama was able to accommodate a large group of 7 on a last minute notice which was really good. The fried dumplings were so good and juicy. The veg was fresh and refreshing. The mapo tofu was super flavourful and savory so impressive considering it doesn't have any meat. The boiled dumplings did end up disintegrating as soon as you picked them up though. :(The service was hit and miss. They didn't have enough tea or spoons. But otherwise fine.

Kedai Satay in King St: what do users think?

Andrianna H: Simple, unpretentious place serving good food.Ordered:Batagor - short for BAkso TAhu GOReng which is a fried tofu meat/seafood dish served with a peanut sauce - different and tasty.Beef Ribs with yellow rice - well marinated, grilled well - served boneless. Great dish.Nasi Beef Rendang with yellow rice - cooked well, tender, not dry. Comes with egg belado. Another good dish.Iced Teler - like a slushy with ample toppings. Refreshing but a little too sweet.Friendly and prompt service. Well priced portions. 3% off when paying in cash.

Melbourneinfood: We ordered:🐮 nasi bungkus iga bakar $21🐮 nasi beef rendang $19.5🐥 ayam tahu tempe kremes yellow rice $19🍲 beef ribs curry $15🍹 ice teler $7 fresh orange juice $6 avocado juice $7The most tender iga bakar i’ve ever tasted in Melbourne! And most importantly, no bones guys! For people who don’t like to eat anything that has bones, this is your go to places for the iga!Beef rendang is so soft, the ayam kremes, the chicken fall off the bone!I must say the curry is so succulent and the taste of the curry is amazing!Wanna brag about the avocado juice too! So fresh, refreshing, and perfect to complement your dish! The ice teler is also really great, but i’d prefer the avocado juice! The best!

Where is Beo: Kedai Satay is an Indonesia restaurant near Southern Cross Station est. 2009!You can try traditional Indonesian dishes and refreshing margs at an affordable price 🍋‍

Adrian HW: Food is authentic, The variety in the menu is great and they're all very tasty. Highly recommend the beef ribs. Love that they open til 9.

Lucy Bui: Good Indonesian food at a great price! We had a party of 8 and the staff were lovely and able to accomodate us by seating us at a large table and bringing extra chairs with no wait time. We ordered ayam goreng, ayam keened, beef ribs, spring rolls, and tofu egg curry. All the dishes were delicious but the chicken was lacking in flavour. There was also a dead insect in my cup of water but staff were apologetic and quick to replace it. Would recommend for a quick meal if you are in the area!Vegetarian options: Tofu and egg options for vegetarians.

The Mog Champ: The Mog Champ sends his regards.Who doesn't have an itch for Indonesian food and Satay skewers sometimes?! I know I do my kupos.Between me and one other Mog Friend, I ordered us some lamb ribs, beef ball soup, chicken skewers and batagor! Definitely a filling and over-satisfactory dinner for both of us.The lamb ribs was extremely tender and didn't have much chewiness at all which was amazing. The follow-up dish, the batagor as a side was nice especially since I've never ordered it before in any other restaurant so I'd highly recommend it.Mogliest Regards,Your Mog Champ

Jojo Little Kitchen: what do users think?

Janelle: Overall the meal was very filling, portions was perfect. My favourite's the dry pan mee cause even though it's 'dry', the noodles are thoroughly covered by the sauce making it not 'dry' at all but also not tooo saucey at the same time. The dried pork on it's definitely the cherry on top, tasted so good😍 Broth for the soup pan mee was warm and tasty! It's like a hearty meal that comforts you after a long day💭 Fried wonton, needless to say, must-try!! They have pork fillings inside too btw 🏻 My first time trying their braised chicken feet, it was sooo soft, flavourful and addictive😳 So good!Overall, I was very satisfied from the meal everything was great!! Thanks to the friendly staff that assisted us too!

Peter Kontogeorgis: Delicious noodles. Had the dry JoJo's pork noodles which comes with a soup on the side. Heaps of good options. Will definitely return.$20 min for EFTPOS isn't great.

Sean Han: I visit this restaurant often.Their Malaysian noodles are really delicious.Side dishes are also recommended. The staff were also very friendly. The price is cheap too.

Melbourneinfood: I personally like the thick noodles, and dry. As you can mix it with the soup on the side.It adds the flavour to the noodle, and you eat it with the chilli sauce, yumm! The pork is so tender, combined with the veggies and fried garlic, can’t go wrong! Also, the lat jiu pan mee is the second best.If you can eat spicy food, definitely order this one, extra spicy. It’ll add more kick to it!Last but not least, don’t forget the fried pork, and the fried wonton. Both are really good and paired well with the sauce! For the drinks, you can try the soya cincau, it’s so refreshing!!I also ordered the honey longan milk. It tastes good, but it’s too sweet for me

Parttimepiggy: You know these guys take their pan mee seriously when they offer 18 variations of it on the menu. I also really love that they also have 5 different noodle cuts to choose from. The pan mee flavours we ordered were delicious but my fave was definitely the signature pork! The noodles itself were so well seasoned and paired perfectly with the pork and soup on the side - I'll most definitely be re-ordering this in my next visit! Also really enjoyed the sides that we ordered. Wontons were crispy and the pork was juicy.Would highly recommend checking this place out. Such a great cheap eats spot that I'll be revisiting again in the near future.

Jess: There was a line when we arrived but moved very quickly! Service was extremely quick and everything came out at a great pace, the strawberry cocktail jug was delicious along with all the food. I’d definitely recommend the kung pao chicken it was not too spicy just the right amount. Dumplings were okay, slightly a bit overcooked. Overall a really yummy meal! Would defs come back

LiV3 LiFe: Shanghai street is a ground level diner - serving Chinese food such as xiao long bao and pan fried pork dumplings. There is almost always a queue outside the shop for dining in. There is a separate queue for takeaways. Takeaways would take an estimated 15 to 20 minutes wait. The service is good. The cashier did make aware of Sunday surcharges and international credit card surcharges. Food was good for Melbourne standards.Kid-friendliness: Family place.

k10: Delicious food.

alex barsukov: We were looking for a place to eat lunch in chinatown, We passed by the restaurant and saw it was pretty full, we checked online the reviews and they were good. so we decided to try it .All the dishes we ordered were delicious and big. the staff and service was friendly and fast .The atmosphere in the restaurant is good and the place is very clean .Highly recommended

Francesca Lam: Good food. good staff. 10/10.Vegetarian options: Vg xiaolungbao. Strifried veggie.

Alex Dunne: Don't be surprised that there's a queue, but it's for a reason. The black bean beef, shanghai noodle, and of course the dumplings were all terrific, I'm not surprised it was highly recommended to me to visit both times I've visited Melbourne.Vegetarian options: existsWheelchair accessibility: It's road accessible so should be doable

Cambodia's Kitchen: what do users think?

Vicky Yu: 🍖 Fried pork loaf🍛 Amok on rice🍛 Signature Cambodian fried pork on riceVisited here for the first time on Saturday and really enjoyed the food. I haven't had much Cambodian food in the past and I found the food to be a cross between Thai and Chinese food, so, if you like both, this place is a must try.The fried pork loaf has spices like a milder version of Thai fish cake, except made with pork and with Chinese flavours. I wished there was more of it though. The amok on rice is a fish curry packed full of flavour. I really enjoyed the fact that it was full of flavour without being drowned in spices. This is a dish for those who like Thai curry but sometimes find it too strong. My friend who is not good at describing food found the fried pork on rice to be "quite nice".I have marked the service slightly lower as the restaurant seems to be understaffed. The staff members were very busy!Overall, we enjoyed the meal here and would be happy to visit again.

Christian Halim: The menu has many choices. It feels good. the service is goodKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes

Nguyen Xuan Ha Anh (Milu): reminds us of Bo Luc Lac meal in Vietnam with delish marinated and fragrant beef steak with onions and bell peppers..Kuay Tev - Pork Broth Noodle Soup

Kurt Busch: Food: 5/5

Rhiana Crisafi: Tried the chicken and fish amok. amok was definitely the highlight on the menu. Delicious flavoursQuick service -very very good for a quick bite before a show!!

William Chu: Satay Chicken, Pork & Century Egg Congee. Satay chicken, the sauce was spicy and salty. Some parts of the dish was more saltier. Chicken was very tender, and soft. The whole broccoli was used, including the stem, and not cut into smaller pieces. The congee was a bit thin, had too much water for me. Tea is served on request. Staff are very quick and attentive to take the order, the food came out quickly, and hot. Was very busy on a Sunday night, and not too noisy inside for a casual restaurant.

Ong Geok Beng Stev: Nice food.

Andrianna H: Combination Meat and Veg on Crispy Noodles

Cyrus Chung: Pretty and straight💯Comfort food for HongKonger

Malcolm Young: 2024: This place has been here since the dawn of time, and will probably still be here after that. The menu's been relatively unchanged, very affordable, though the bao's have lost a bit of zing.****2009: The Quintessential Roast Pork Bun of Melbourne.Very deceptive, gritty, low-key ambience housing the best BBQ Roast Pork buns in Melbourne.I've tried these buns in many places around the world and these truly are the best. The meat mixture is flavourous, with just the right amount of sauciness and wrapped in a soft fluffy bread bun.The other menu items aren't too bad, but you need only come here for these buns.*****

K Bulsuk: The food is delicious, the people friendly, and always the same faces. It has virtually become my cafeteria, and I visit it often because of the excellent price-taste-quantity ratios. The food always comes out fast and there is always hot tea served.Everything is good, especially the buns which are also available cold, so you can take them home and steam them yourself for another day.

Sarah Burns: Great bao!

Cheong K: We came here for dinner on a Friday. Although this place is a bit further from the main part of the CBD, we were surprised at the number of people here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Service with a smile. We like it.We had the soft-shell crab sushi and the ginseng chicken. Although the name is Tokyo Maki ie. Japanese but we think that it is predominantly Korean. This is one of the best ginseng soups that we had. Highly recommended. Even though the chicken was soft and tender, it still had flavour. The soft-shell crab sushi was also nice with the different sauces.I would highly recommend this place.

DH Kim: I was impressed that there was a Teppan Dakgalbi restaurant right in front of my house. The portions were plentiful and delicious! Be sure to add some udon noodles!! It's even more delicious if you eat it with udon noodles. I tried to eat fried rice after eating it all, but I couldn't eat it because I felt like I would get full. I highly recommend cheese dakgalbi instead of the basic dakgalbi.
