When Frank retired, Carlo bought Agostino’s and then opened more grocery stores across Melbourne. His favourite was King & Godfree. Carlo stocked King & Godfree with Italian products he was passionate about – parmesan cheese, olive oil, salumi, wine – and it became a hub for the local community, both for homesick Italians and for others discovering Italian flavours for the first time.
