Mirosuna - Urban Meditation & Mindfulness Studio in Melbourne: what do users think?

Berlin Liew: Attended my first Mirosuna class - Mindful Stretch - and loved it. A therapeutic mix of stretching, mindful meditation, and aromatherapy. I've never done a class like this before and would say I'm a beginner at meditation. The class was approachable for beginner's, the room's environment is so relaxing, and the teacher was helpful at guiding me when I was a little lost with the stretches! Looking forward to doing more classes with Mirosuna.

Kimi Dunstone: Mel has introduced me to a new and holistic way of managing stress and anxietyAfter going through a really tough break up I fell into a pit of depression that lingeredI felt that even though I am a practitioner that works in the field complimentary healing and ordinarily I take great care of myself I really needed some additional supportI am so glad I booked in for holistic counselling with Mel, she is amazing! After the first session something within me changed, she so easily and quickly identified a part of me that was being neglected and as soon as I could bring awareness to this it felt like everything that was weighing on me shifted, I felt so much lighter and happier, I am so grateful, thank you Mel ✨💖 🙏

L T: The yin class with Will was just amazing - he will be missed but all the best with his endeavours! Highly recommend and studio is just lovely atmosphere.

Nicky Charalambous: Thank you for a beautiful experience. We'll most definitely be back!

Dani Gray: Reiki Master Kimberly Grace at Mirosuna is a pure channel of light, healing, and generosity. The work she does seems to come as naturally and easily to her as breathing - a sign of a true gift.I see Kimberly for Reiki when I'm feeling a bit heavy or low in life, and I leave feeling more energised, rested, positive and I always have an amazing sleep afterwards! As a reiki healer myself, I know how to recognise authenticity in this field and I highly recommend Kimberly as someone who truly and deeply cares about her clients.Thank you Kimberly for all you've done for me!

Tanya Elise: If you are seeking a compassionate and skilled Reiki practitioner, I wholeheartedly recommend Kimberly for a soul-enriching experience. From the moment I met Kimberly, I felt an instant sense of warmth and comfort. Her kind and compassionate demeanour immediately put me at ease, creating a safe space within my mind and body. With her gentle energy and nurturing approach, Kimberly really helped me relax and surrender to the healing energies. During the Reiki session, I felt a profound release of emotional blockages and tension. Kimberly’s healing touch really helped me release some stored stress and emotions that were holding me back and keeping me stuck. Thank you so much, Kimberly. Very grateful for you.

Tyler Flavel: From the very first moment at Mirosuna you cannot help but feel content and welcome. Having completed the Deluxe OMM massage by Evie I can honestly say it was the best massage experience I've ever had. Evie taking the time both pre and post the massage to check in was a very nice touch.A strong recommendation!

Mia C: The Private Sound Meditation with Yen was amazing. Yen is incredibly sweet, patient and talented. It was the best meditative experience I’ve ever had. Thank you Yen!

Yvonne Burns: What a wonderful experience 😁

Kayla Riley: I experienced Sally’s end of year Reflect and Release event at Mirosuna. Everything at Mirosuna is so luxe and there has been so much thought and effort put into every small detail there. Sally’s meditation was beautifully ran and it is evident how many people’s lives are transformed from Mirosuna, there is a real sense of connectedness and community there.

Julie Mcneill: I only had two classes at Mirosuna so far. I’m very impressed with what it offers. A peaceful place to release all the stresses. The place is spotless, the bed is very comfortable. The first class with Sally was so good that I fell asleep. I am in my 60s and having trouble to stay asleep most of the night, after the Yin candlelit class that night my sleeping score reached to 91 which I haven’t had this score for months. I highly recommend Mirosuna to anyone.

Marie Chronopoulos: This was one of the most welcoming and relaxing places I have ever been too in Melbourne. From the moment you enter you're greeted by friendly staff welcoming you with a cup of amazing tea upon. The meditation beds and pods are incredibly comfortable, no hard floors to lay on pure comfort and privacy with the curtain screens, love it! The sound meditation is nothing like I have ever experienced before, I seriously went on journey with the sound bowls and was guided by Sally all the way. 1.5 hours felt like it flew past wow. Highly recommend to anyone thats looking for a Proffessional establishment where you can unwind, relax and reset. I am a fan!

Kadampa Meditation Centre Melbourne: what do users think?

Sam g: Session was good. Not bad for fifteen dollars per session.

Simon Lang: Tuesday nights are a highlight. Resident Monk gives excellent observations about life. Meditation also included.

sue abhary: I've been going to weekly classes and workshops for years. The teachings and practices have changed my life for an incredible good. If you're looking for that next thing to find happiness and take your life in the right direction, this centre is a must and Dornying is the teacher you are looking for!

Edward Ounapuu: I enrolled in the Buddhist study program here 4 years ago and I have found it to be very of great benefit to my life.

louise panic: I love this amazing place.Fantastic meditation workshops.

Timothy Stewart: G'day. I attended a retreat on the 22nd and 23rd of Jan 2022 at the temple in the Dandenong ranges. The teachings were very insightful. The teacher Gen Dornying did a marvelous job to make the teachings accessible to new students as well students with some experience. The location is one of the nicest bush areas around. Your not required to do anything weird or uncomfortable. Just listen to the teachings then do what you like in between e.g eat, socialize, sleep, exercise or chill out. I recommend attending a retreat or day course at the kadampa temple in the dandenongs or a day course in the city if you would like to improve your mental state.

Fátima Lima: The best place to learn about Kadampa Tradition, meditate and relax...💖

Anna: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismGentle and compassionate teachers who welcome everyone, from all walks of life. Highly recommended way to find inner peace in these troubled times.

Marc M: I started going about 4 years ago to learn proper, traditional meditation to combat big anxiety problems I had. The teachers were very good in instructing in this meditation, explaining there is a lineage right back to Buddha through Tibet to the modern day. I got on top of my anxiety but kept going as found many of the teachings struck home. Its a supportive, encouraging environment and everyone seems welcome.☺

M Sal: Very serene.

George Moraitis: The first time I attended, I was not sure if this was for me but I found the people to be very welcoming & friendly. I immediately felt comfortable. The classes are practical, enjoyable and have helped me to feel more peaceful.

Melbourne Meditation Centre - Clifton Hill: what do users think?

Maja M: I have completed a couple of courses with Matt and participated in a mini retreat recently. All of my experiences have been truly excellent. The courses have helped me to deepen my meditation practice, the discussions with other participants were guided very skillfully and competently. The atmosphere in Matt's classes is friendly, inclusive and supportive. The provided resources are detailed and will serve as an excellent basis to develop your own course structure, if that's your goal. There are also weekly online practice sessions with Debbie, which I find really valuable - it is so good to have company meditating and exchanging experiences. I cannot recommend the offerings from Melbourne Meditation Centre enough to beginners and experienced practitioners. Thank you Matt and Debbie!

Vera Poh: .Matt was generous with his wisdom, and his calm, steady attendance created a sense of assurance. His feedback led me to discovery of things that had been hidden from myself. And that's not all: we were wrapped up in green air, we got to look up at century-old trees, hear the kookaburras laugh. Then there's all that delicious food: home-made and nourishing, cooking that warms the heart. It is easy to see why so many people make this an annual, even biannual event in their diary. A chance for restoration of the bodymindsoul.

Catherine Saliba: I absolutely loved the Meditation Teacher Training with Matt Young. Matt is an excellent teacher and has so much experience and knowledge to share. He created a friendly supportive environment and it was fantastic to connect, learn and meditate with the group of people doing the course. The course work encouraged me to read books and articles that have inspired me and broadened my knowledge about meditation and teaching meditation, as well as given me skills to use in my own personal practice.

Jessica Holsman: Highly recommend this mindfulness meditation coarse! The coarse thoroughly covers all the essentials when it comes to mindfulness meditation and I also learned so many practical skills to ensure I feel prepared to teach. Class sizes are perfect to connect with like minded people and have great discussions too.

Bishnu Paudel: I am very happy with this course as it has taught me many aspects of meditation techniques. I came to know about the challenges that may occur during a meditation workshop or class and how to handle them properly. I found Matt to be very humble, a good listener, and always motivated to provide efficient teaching material and methodologies.

Aneta Taylor: I would highly recommend Melbourne Meditation Centre. I finished both of the courses and enjoyed every aspect of it. Matt is friendly, helpful and very easy to communicate with. For me the winning point was endless sorts of knowledge and information that completely open my eyes and my mind about meditation as a practice and the science behind it. Thank you Matt.

Michael Oliver: and his Meditation Teacher Training program. I haven’t yet attending one of his retreats but they certainly sound amazing. If you’re looking to start meditating, dive deeper into your meditative journey or to begin teaching and are considering The Melbourne Meditation Centre, then you’re in the right place in the here and the now. ☺️🙏🏼 👍🏼

Fionnuala McKenna: I had the opportunity to complete the meditation teacher training retreat and I can highly recommend.Matt and Beth did an amazing job of engaging us as students in a critical analysis of our preconceived ideas of meditation. They both had unique teaching styles that complimented each other. There was an opportunity to explore meditation styles, techniques and to design and create your own meditation for the class. This course really made me question some ideas I arrived at the retreat with and I left with a much more curious and creative approach to meditation and meditation teaching.Further to the retreat the coursework exposed me to content that I am continuing to eagerly explore post completing the course.Matt and Beth created an environment of open, kind and generous discussion that then spilled out of the classes and into our socialisation and recreation time.If you are considering completing the teacher training retreat I can recommend wholeheartedly!

Shane Walterfang: Simply can't recommend this course enough. Matt is able to guide his students in a way that they can develop a practice that's relevant to them and their lifestyle. Matt's course and content builds upon what we initially understand meditation to be and then allows us to explore what it can become. Sessions are based on neuroscience and traditions that have unpacked what meditation in the 21st century can be.

Tom Le Cerf: Great experience with the meditation teacher course!Helped provide a good balance to my meditation experience

Doria T Cravet: I completed my Meditation Teacher with Melbourne Mediation Centre and it was such an amazing, life-changing experience! Matt's guidance helped me to broaden my knowledge and perception about meditation, and inspire me to be more open and curious with both my meditation practices and teaching methods. I highly recommend Melbourne Meditation Centre courses to anyone who wants to learn more about meditation, explore further mindfulness and develop higher levels of self-awareness. Thank you, all teachers!

Sahej Chahal: I had an amazing experience in the meditation teacher training course. Matt is a friendly, approachable and flexible teacher. I learnt so much and have expanded my personal meditation practice. I highly recommend Melbourne Meditation Centre!

Tracy B: I completed, along with the other fantastic offerings available at Melbourne Meditation Centre.

Alex Snarski: I thought I was going to simply learn about teaching meditation at this retreat. However this became so much more. Yes I learnt a great deal, however I went through some life changing stuff at this retreat which made it that much more special, the set, setting and people were all incredible, prepare to make friends for life.I highly recommend this retreat and Matt is seriously a phenomenal teacher. He really made me realise that I shouldn't be too rigid in just one practice and how there is no right or wrong. The biggest thing I got which I honestly wasn't expecting was coming home being more confident than I ever have before to talk in front of people. Also a massive shout out to the cooks, the food was incredibly good, and yeah the whole thing was so amazing for me. As you would say Matt, very skilfully done! Awesome work, thank you.

Sal K: Matt is a great instructor and provides the space for people to think, reflect, analyse and challenge the information they are given. He is very grounded and calm as a teacher and genuinely wants the best for his students. I enjoyed my teacher training with Matt very much!

Dawn McKiernan: Having recently completed my Meditation Teacher Training, I would highly reccommed the course for its content, and Matt Young for his teaching abilities. Matt is a wonderful teacher who is supportive, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. He inspires and encourages everyone to find their own way to meditate and teach. A great course for anyone interested in meditation.

Sara Ash: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAbsolutely loved doing the Meditation Teacher training with Matt. I draw on the learnings from that course often and feel very privileged to have been able to start my teaching journey with Matt.

Cathryn O'Flaherty: I did the online 6 week course - and what a great experience! With rich resources and concepts, explained in a practical and relatable way, every session blended a great mix of theory and practice. Follow up emails help you explore more if that's what you are keen to do!Matt's facilitation had lovely pace, friendliness and variety.Flexible options to switch timeslots, and learn from the comfort of your own home. Will use these principles, and highly recommend!

Beverley Marsh: Matt Young at the Melbourne Meditation Centre is a great teacher who holds space for individuals just starting out or experienced meditators to learn and explore. He is respectful and easy to communicate with.I have taken the courses for beginners, teachers and a mini retreat and can unreservedly recommend them all for content and value for money.

He is so warm, comforting and encouraging. I was told that your TM teacher remains your teacher for life, and I couldn't think of a better, more humble and wise Guru to go on this journey with.If you are looking for a tool to access deeper states of restfulness or how to unlock feelings of bliss, I couldn't recommend more highly investing in yourself by undertaking TM with Mustafa.

I have a teenager daughter with usual problems that a teenager may experience, she learned TM about 2 months ago. Mustafa is an amazing and very knowledgeable teacher. I can see my daughter is so calmer, less anxious, more organised and happier. She has had significant improvement at school. As a mother and a doctor I recommend TM to everyone as a great life changing relaxation technique.

varun saini: TM is a beautiful meditation technique. I had great time learning it from Mustafa. He was very accommodating and always there to listen to your questions and doubts. I found him very professional, experienced, knowledgeable and he has a very good sense of humour which helps make things more enjoyable in the class.

Yoga in Daily Life Richmond: what do users think?

Linda Kearley: and fireside chats with fellow retreaters, all on site in a fabulous venue at Continental House. Highly recommend. I'm going again next year for sure :

Anna: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismFabulous, caring classes especially those hosted by Larissa. A great blend of yoga and meditation-relaxation.

sean millard: I started yoga eight years ago with Gita and Gopal and have rarely missed a weeks yoga since. Their guidance is clear, safe and varied which allows one to stretch to ones limits or to back off if necessary. I have been blessed with good health but even that has improved with yoga. The transition to zoom classes during the last 12 months was seemless and very much valued. It has always felt an authentic experience. It is good for golf too.

Theresa N: Love YIDL.

Yetty Lulseged: .Gopal is a really great and patient teacher. He'll adapt his class to suit the needs of his students and provides lots of variations to suit your skill / state during that class. Whilst he's patient, he also knows how to push you to develop - I went from a beginner to doing head stands in a matter of months.I've since moved countries and I no longer go here, but I do miss it sorely. If you're lucky to be close to the Richmond studio, I recommend you go check it out.

Amy P: i started classes just few months ago. I am in my third trimester and was struggling to find an affordable class. i attend the wednesday evening sessions with Larissa which is a mixed class but she makes sure she gives me 100% attention.

Bettina Pfaendner: This is truly an urban ashram! Not only the body gets the right attention with different levels of classes, but also the mind is nurished at all times. Just factastic and life enriching!

Susan Hamilton-Green: I have been attending YIDL over the past 4 years-it seems much longer as this community has become such an important part of my life. I initially attended their classes as my partner went there, and I quickly became impressed by their authentic and holistic approach to yoga. I regularly participate in their Satsangs, retreats workshops and study groups. They are directly connected with the strong yoga heritage in India and offer short courses and seminars by visiting Swamis and spiritual leaders. I have enjoyed classes lead by all of their teachers, but value greatly the guidance and leadership provided by Swami Gopalpuri and Gita. They are both inspirational and provide a community focused on exploring and putting into practice the yogic principles! It was such an important development for me when I discovered YIDL!

Greg Morwood: Great place for a genuine yoga experience - either for a gentle reset or an all body workout. Gita and Gopal are the real thing.

Grace Rose-Miller: I love this place, and feel extremely lucky to have it close by. It's a wonderful, supportive and warm-hearted place to practice yoga and meditation. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Phil Gregory: This is a wonderful place that is an oasis of tranquility and good energy. Its hard to imagine going to yoga classes anywhere else in melbourne.

chetna prakash: It is also about encouraging a slower, more thoughtful way of life.
