Otao Kitchen Cooking School: what do users think?

Dominic Fenton: Dylan & Wan run a superb cooking class in delicious and truly homemade Thai cuisine, recipes inspired by the central region of Thailand.  Dylan's knowledge, passion & enthusiasm are patently evident from the moment you are greeted. Generous refreshments are served and then attendees are gently and in a thoroughly relaxing way, taken on a culinary adventure of: an entre, salad & classic red or green curry.Throughout it all Dylan attentively makes sure we are all across the assembly and cooking steps. I thoroughly recommend this for all, from new to seasoned cooking enthusiasts!!

Tabitha Galea: Really well run classes, super easy to follow and fun! Staff were great and helpful.

Elysa De Santo: My partner and I did the Vietnamese cooking class as a date night activity and loved the experience, the food and Anan our teacher was great energy, very informative and helpful.Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

Paula Katze: We had an amazing time at the Sri Lankan cooking class! The instructors were friendly, the cooking was fun, and the food we made was delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning about Sri Lankan cuisine.

Chris Chetwynd: What a beautiful morning with Otao Kitchen Native Master ClassWe made the most beautiful food .Damper ‘Flatbread’ with River Mint or Saltbush with Bush Paste and Whipped Goats Cheese Whipped Goats Cheese and Saltbush Paste. Barramund Steamed in Banana Leaf with Finger Limes Smoked Kangaroo Tenderloin or Lamb Racks with Purple Sapphire Potatoes, and Taro with Davidson Plum JusI would recommend this experience to anyone, It was so much fun and the food was top notch, Dylan was such a good teacher too. would I do It again, YES.

Kimberly Wilsmore: My daughter loved this cooking class and I loved how she got to take home all the extra food that she didn’t eat. She will definitely go next time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tuan Huynh: The chef was friendly and made the whole thing a great experience. Highly recommend

Narelle Coghill: Fantastic experience, lovely food and made by us! Will need to do this again!

Dr Roger Wilkinson: The Japanese cooking class was pitched at the correct level for people who know their way around the kitchen. The Chef was knowledgeable and demonstrated processes very well. I thoroughly enjoyed the class.

Amy Malone: Our team had such a lovely evening at our Thai cooking class with Anan. The dishes we prepared were all delicious and the steps easy to follow. Everything was really well organised and well communicated in advance, a great time!

Sarah Tonkin: The Thai cooking class was amazing, and Anan was a great instructor!!

Lucy Lloyd: We've used Otao Kitchen for two work social events now - one making dumplings and the other a Vietnamese cooking class, and both were excellent.Great fun, high energy, inclusive, an the food that resulted was delicious.

Peter Mingon: Not only did we enjoy the entire session, great kitchen, great technic and learning experience, we actually made a great and edible meal of Dumplings. The kitchen class room was well laid out, the large screen for additional viewing was a good assist instead of having a recipe on the bench or looking at a mobile screen. The instruction came at a good pace so there was no boredom time and yet there was no rush either. It didn't make a difference whether one was proficient in the kitchen or not it just seem to be at your pace. Thank you to Ang for his guidance and instructions.Definitely looking to come back and try something else.

Sanah Barakat: My husband and I attended the Japanese cooking masterclass and it did not disappoint! It was interactive, educational and above all else fun! They were able to accommodate dietary requirements without any fuss and made sure we were taken care of without feeling left out. The food was delicious and would Definetly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new and learn to cook while having fun. Thank you Ha & team!

Debra Rose: This was an excellent cooking class. Loved every minute. I went by myself and met others and had fun. The teacher was fabulous and we made so many dishes with lots to take home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to expand their cooking skills and have fun doing it.

Lucy Callander: Wonderful night with Sandra who inspires you to visit Italy with her knowledge and passion for Italian food. Our dinner was superb and we enjoyed the cooking tips along with insights on what and where to buy the right ingredients.

Christine A: I organised a surprise hens night with Sandra for the bride and a few other guests. Let’s just say that this was one of the best hens nights we’ve ever attended! Sandra’s wealth of knowledge of Italian regional food is incredible - her tips and tricks when demonstrating the cooking have honestly changed the way I approach Italian cooking and have changed my skills for the better! The food was divine and we learnt so much about sourcing quality ingredients, and the best part is being able to take home the wonderful recipes we ate that night. I would highly recommend this class and can’t wait to go back to do more!

Debra Ellen: Fabulous cooking class. So much knowledge and skill. We had a fabulous night and enjoy magnificent food. Recommended highly for cooks of all skill level.

Gabrielle Monaghan: of food, each dish was so delicious and Sandra really took her time to explain why she cooked things a certain way or why certain flavours are necessary. Could not recommend this experience more :

Shari Liby: The presentation of the dishes was equally impressive, a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

Vicki James: Sandra's cooking class is brilliant. Not only do you receive techniques, but you get told the whys, why certain products vs others, time saver ideas, produce stockists, even down to the playlist of the class. Brilliant. And Sandra is fabulous, approachable, knowledgeable, her history lessons are fun and then you get to enjoy the company of everyone while you sit and eat. And I am in awe of Sandra's library. Fabulous in every way. Highly recommend as a gift voucher, but please go yourself. You can't miss this.

Filipa Jorge: My wife and I attended the Seafood class and we had a great time. We learned so much about Italian products and where to get them in Melbourne. The food was delicious and cooked with a lot of love: I highly recommend Sandra’s cooking classes.

Christian-Paul Stenta: There's so much to love about Sandra's class. I was gifted a class for Christmas and went along to the Nonna / casalinga session. I can't recommend it enough! It was fun, entertaining, easy going, intimate, informative and above all - delicious! I come from the same region in Italy as Sandra and am lucky to come from a family of chefs and cooks... and this was absolutely up there. 10s across the board for quality, taste and authenticity. Grazie mille!

Michael F: A wonderful and authentic experience 🇮🇹

Annika Nielsen: I received Sandra's vegetarian cooking class as a gift and it was brilliant! We had an amazing time and Sandra is not only knowledgeable, but she explains in a way everyone can understand. As a vegetarian of 7 years, I still learned heaps!

Ali Pinch: We had such a beautiful night at Sandra's place. She's sharp, witty, and incredibly knowledgable. She can tell you where to get the best produce at the best price, both in Melbourne and anywhere Italy. Safe to say, the woman can cook! Gemma Weeks: We just had the most incredible evening being guests at Sandra cooking class. I’ve been to a lot of classes in the past but this was, by far, one of the best experiences. Not only was the food outstanding, but Sandra’s passion throughout the class and the knowledge she shared made this a 10/10 for me. The initiate setting made for such a unique and personalised experience, allowed time for her to answer questions and really dive into key techniques so we can confidently recreate the dishes at home. I feel like I learnt so much and we can’t wait to come back and take another class.

Ellen Santamaria: Excellent classes with unique knowledge and tips to share!

Amy Royle-Simpson: My partner and I loved the "La cucina di nonna" cooking class we undertook with Sandra in October. Sandra was friendly, informative and ensured we and the other attendees had a lovely evening.Highly recommended and both can't wait to try another class

Declan Burke: and learning about Italian cooking. The class is held in Sandra's house around the kitchen bench and you get to watch Sandra prepare each dish, and explain the ingredients, cooking methods and Italian cuisine in general. The guests then move to the dining table and eat the dish just prepared, while Sandra prepares for the next course. Sandra is a great host, happy to answer any questions we had and passionate about imparting knowledge and empowering the guests to begin cooking Italian food themselves. The class is great value, it ran for four hours

Deborah Curtis: We were lucky to share an evening with friends and Sandra's amazing cooking, she prepared the most delicious flavor's of Abruzzo. Sandra's Rigatoni with Saffron Sauce was the best! Her knowledge of where to get the best ingredients and market choice's is amazing. We had a Italian Feast.

lmckean: Lovely restaurant. Good food and excellent, pleasant service with a smile.

Cheryl Joosten: Great Class. Nellie is very knowledgeable, and able to explain all the recipes easily.

Emma Jane: Wanting to update your skills or learn something new you will find something to enjoy and learn from this cooking experience. The time goes by quickly and my son really enjoys learning along with me! Cannot fault it!

Adriano Artini: with Nellie and from start to finish this was one of the easiest things i have organised.Something as little as creating a music playlist, while it doesnt seem like a huge deal, it sure can get you ready for an amazing class. The communication from Nellie and the team was fantastic and will definitely use them again in future. The class itself was easy to follow, supportive, very fun and enjoyable. The entire team had a really enjoyable night, the recipe was being asked for over the next few days and all loved the class. While i would love to upload some pictures, the gnocchi didnt last long enough in my household to get any happy snaps.grazie mille to Nellie and the team

linda jenkins: Last Sunday I spent a lovely afternoon preparing and cooking a Moroccan feast under the guidance of Nellie from Relish Mama. This online experience was interactive, fun and well paced and I was so happy with the end result. Vicki Borcich: I was lucky enough to experience Moroccan cooking whilst on Nellies cooking tour in Morocco ,2019👌The smells whilst cooking along with her on zoom bought back the most treasured memories.I was so chuffed with myself to have made this amazing dinner after the two hour cook with Nellie.Such a beautiful way to spend Sunday afternoon and then sit down and enjoy this delicious meal with my family.Nellie said the dishes will be just as good the following day for lunch-we finished everything with such gusto.😋😋Deliciousnes👌❤️

Brett Crosby: What an amazing way to spend an afternoon!I found out about this course online and flew from Adelaide to Melbourne to attend. So glad I did.The recipes are "to die for" and Nellie, the amazing owner of Relish Mama, is so generous with her knowledge and expertise. The afternoon flew by and we all got hands on with the dishes which, for me, is a great way to learn.I can't recommend Nellie and her team highly enough and I can't wait to get back to Melbourne to do another course. If you've got any interest in cooking at all and want to really level up your skills, do yourself a favour and enrol in one of the courses.Bon Appetit
