Courts can be booked online using the Real Tennis Booking (RTBooking) system or through the Pro Shop. Members are provided with an RTO number and password to book online.


Our team of Professionals make the members’ time at the Club a thoroughly enjoyable experience.The Professionals will help arrange games for you with players of a suitable standard and also give lessons and coaching for members.

The Richmond Silver Racket is an open handicap championship open to the top 16 players on handicap at the close of entry. Matches are the best-of-3 sets off handicap and the likes of Chapman, Michael Williams, Woods-Casey and Rosedale have already entered. Get your entry in now or look out for the draw and come in a watch. There will be matches on during the July First Friday of the Month.


Sat. 6 - Sat. 20 January 2024. We are pleased to announce that the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club will be holding a Boomerang Cup in 2024. We invite all real tennis clubs to submit teams to play in the 2024 Boomerang Cup.


A selection of the best amateur tennis players in the country played in the Victorian Amateur Singles and Doubles Championships over the weekend. Congratulations to Kieran Booth who won his 5th Vic Am Singles title and his 4th Vic Am Doubles title while his partner Michael Williams won his 3rd Vic Am Doubles title.

Congratulations to George Black, Jack Slingo and Xavier Wilson for winning their groups in the most recent Quarterly Medal and booking their spot in the Medal of Medallists later in the year.

Another grand morning of festivities, breakfast and tennis (in order of priority) was had by all the attendees of the Empire Day Breakfast Tournament of 2023. Congratulations to Jonathan Sear who, after many long years of slaving away organising the day and preparing breakfast for weary players, managed to take home the trophy.

It was a successful day of tennis the RMTC team when the MCC Real Tennis Section team came to town ready to play. The home team won the match 10 games to 6 at the close of play.

I've been a member for over 15 years. There's always been a welcoming feel, great people and the courts are among the best en-tout-cas courts in the country. Its great to be part of the club's Pennant competition and have options with lots of different grades.


MCC Glen Iris is my favorite place to play a tournament in Melbourne. Great courts and facilities and it is a great places for people to watch matches from. I also love training at the club. Its a great environment with heaps of players to practice with while the coaches help me develop my game.

Thank you to the Elsternwick Park Tennis Centre, the management, coaches and staff for the magnificent job you do growing the game. Your coaching programs, social play opportunities, competitions, and all programs are brilliant. Our children love their tennis lessons at EPTC. The coaches make it a very social, fun learning environment. They are improving and look forward to seeing all the friendly and welcoming staff at the courts.

I have been participating in a mid-week ladies doubles competition and doing cardio at least once a week since I have attended the club. I have always enjoyed both classes immensely. The lady’s competition is very competitive, which has improved everyone tennis skills. The cardio tennis has made me a fitter and a stronger tennis player. The variety of drills and the intensity has improved my tennis game.
