The young group of employees at the store are full of knowledge and helpful.The store itself houses a lot of animals such as geckos, snakes, scorpions and fish. Mainly tropical and warm water fish.The store needs a freshen up and maybe a good clear out as stock is piling up on top of each other.The team members we have spoken to are very polite and would definitely recommend it if you are into your reptiles or aquariums.Not much of a range of marine fish here so you may have to look elsewhere.


Great place. We always get our fish from here throughout the years (we have an outdoor pond). Their price is reasonable and my children also enjoy looking at the reptiles while we were there to buy fish.Friendly staff. We're lucky to have this local business!

Fantastic customer service and great clean shop. Nice to go somewhere where the staff actually know what they are on about and offer correct advise and sell quality products with a huge range!!!!!!It is the bunnings of aquarium and reptile stores. Definitely Amazing staff at Amazing Amazon. Met with Max a week ago and given heaps of advice and recommendations on setting up our Bearded Dragons enclosure. We returned yesterday with a heap of questions which Max and Damian were both keen to answer ensuring our confidence in getting our Beardiés home set up correctly. I can not recommend these guys enough for their knowledge, patience and respect of novice reptile owners.Thanks guys, we will be back !

Damo was an absolute weapon at helping us pick out a snake and 2 frogs. He helped us set up the enclosure for both, helped us handle a few snakes to choose the right one and had unlimited patience for our questions. He even taught us how to fill out our wildlife handbook (it was our first time purchasing and learning). Cannot thank him enough and we will definitely be back for more members to join our family

So appropriately named. They really are amazing! I cannot state strongly enough just how fabulous this business and their staff are. The customer service is incredible. I have been in there quite a number of times recently to purchase items and received nothing less than AAA service from very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Even more amazing is the help I have received from them with regards to a canister filter which I had purchased 18 months ago from a different business (I can’t say competitor, as there is no competition!), I ran into issues with the filter and have been trying to get it up and running for several weeks. The different business I originally bought the filter from were dreadful. So unhelpful, rude, condescending. After several interactions with that inferior business, I decided to seek help from the professionals…Amazing Amazon…and how amazing! They are dealing with my problem that was NOT their responsibility! They understood how upset and frustrated I was with the issue of the filter. Though I believe they will be able to get my canister filter up and running again, even if they can’t, I will be forever grateful for the wonderful customer service they have provided. My final thoughts are that even if you are able to buy a fish tank or filter or other merchandise a little cheaper elsewhere, those savings are lost if the aftercare/customer service is appalling. That’s why I will always shop for my aquarium and turtle supplies going forward, at Amazing Amazon where you can be assured of amazing customer service!

Love this place. Got my latest reptile (albino darwin) from here. Good choice of animals. And they have all the equipment / food etc. Also have the necessities for my fish tanks.Both Finn and Ryan were very accommodating and helpful. I have been allowed to handle my pet till I get my license. Very grateful to them.The staff are very patient with the customers, especially the children and the families.

Fantastic range of reptiles in particular!. Many of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! We bought a half moon fighting fish, Dainty Tree Frogs and Dwarf eastern frogs, heat and UVB lights, all of which are thriving and loving their Terrarium.Thanks guys for a great experience and education!

Located on the corner of Moray and Market Street, My Pet Warehouse South Melbourne is in a convenient location. The main door opens out onto Market Street but customer parking is available at the rear of the store.

Take Tram Route 111 to York Street or Tram Route 1 to Moray Street.

The nearest station to us is Southern Cross Railway Station. This is roughly a 30 minute walk away so if travelling by public transport you may wish to catch a tram.

We have a customer-only car park located behind the store, which can be accessed from Moray Street. It’s free to park here but of course you can’t stay there all day! If you want to spend longer in the area there is also Pay & Display parking in the streets adjacent to the store.

If you’ve brought your pooch shopping with you, Albert Park Lake is a short drive or a 25 minute walk away. This 225-Hectare recreational park is dog friendly and sections are devoted for off-leash play!
