“I loved everything about street food, including the environment it was served in,” says Teage. “So that inspired the design of Gingerboy, too: we wanted the dining room to channel that energy, that colour and vitality.” So, whether you’re here for a quick bite, or a big night with friends, we’ve got you covered.

Whether you’re dropping in for a craft beer at the bar, or settling in for the full Gingerboy over dinner with wine, you’re sure to find something that sings with the food. Our bad-boy Somm has crafted a locally focused wine list that hits all the classic notes, and throws in some delicious curve balls and international stars.

We don’t just do SE Asian on a plate, we do it in a glass as well. The bold flavours of lemongrass, kaffir lime, lychees, chillies, ginger, coriander, find their way into our legendary cocktail list. There is on-street parking available for the guests, on Rathdowne Street and the corner of Queensberry Street. Paid parking is available nearby, at the Exhibition Buildings. We are also close to public transport.
