Super happy with my purchase and also got the helmet and lock for $50
Jeff Busby: The nicest, most helpful people we've encountered in a long time. Nice selection of refurbished used bikes. $50 gets a functional bike. Entrance is down the ramp on east side of street through a door. Shop is way back in right corner of empty underground garage.
Kseniia Khmel: Found this shop by chance when my bike broke down on the way to work. The bike was not worth repairing, but had plenty of decent parts that can be reused, so these guys happily took it off my hands, and I even managed to pick up a decent mountain bike for 50 bucks! Super friendly stuff and a great cause, will most definitely be returning here for any bike repairs or my next bike!

Tomás Cerezo: These guys are the best bike shop you can get in the whole world. Two other stores refused to help me because my bike is quite strange and not so well built, but they made their biggest effort to help me and they solved the issue. YP: Great service from the staff at 99 Bikes in Sth Melbourne. I popped into the shop this morning to book in a tyre change and Ellis was able to do it on the spot. Sam was really helpful at the front desk with an issue I had with a pair gloves I had previously purchased.I being here a couple of times and the service has always being great and the guys are very friendly !

Amazing bike has been taking me everywhere and exploring Melbourne in the most fun way. Rides super smooth and I couldn't be happier.On Thursdays they have workshops to fix your own bike with the help of volunteers and staff. It's super educational and an amazing/cheap opportunity to learn how to maintain, fix, clean your bike. Really amazing and informed staff and all around good vibes to be at.

2Stroke: I am visiting Melbourne for about 5 weeks and decided to pick up an el cheapo bike to get around occasionally. Picked up one locally on Marketplace but I soon realised it needed work…and all my tools are back in Newcastle . “The Bike Shed” came to the rescue. Andrew and Serge were were extremely friendly and helpful and soon helped me get my cheap bike into a decent shape for minimal cost. This is a great community service.

After going to another bike shop for a long time, they were unable to identify a new issue I had with my crankset and charged me nonetheless. Mike at Rays was able to properly identify the problem and provide multiple solutions - very grateful to have my bike back in working order

I first visited the store during 2017 as a student, doing UberEats deliveries on my cheap second hand bike. Mike and the team always gave good advice and great value - they understood I was on a tight budget and I never got the sense I was being pressured to spend beyond it. When I finished studying and my income rose, and the time came to upgrade my bike, Ray's were extremely helpful, gave me a fair trade-in discount, and continued to help me out with advice and servicing over the years. Excellent store!

Tonya Gr: and it's such a smooth ride now.I wondered around the store while they worked on my bike, store had a range of bikes, accessories and embellishments for kids + grown up bikes.Friendly service, reasonable priced tune-up.Will recommend to friends.I'm a causal cyclist, riding mostly on roads & cycle paths, the majority of my rides are under 15km. I didn't feel a full service was needed and wasn't pressured into buying any additional services or accessories which I appreciated.

Mark Liebach: I've been to plenty of bike shops over the years and this is the best one by far. I have bought 2 bikes from them in the past 5 years and always serviced them there. Their staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable, their service is top class, and they must have excellent standing with the manufacturers. My beloved Focus Raven Max developed a fault and had to be claimed under warranty. They processed the claim with Focus and I had a brand new bike within a week! That must be some sort of a record. Don't waste your time or money by going anywhere else. Clint, Ben and the whole team absolutely rock!
